  1. If you want toplay games then virtually none of them will work. I tried it and didnt like it at all.
  2. http://www.eastlondonlines.co.uk/2012/08/local-businesses-hit-hard-by-the-olympic-games/
  3. Its avro Lancaster "city of lincoln" belonging to the bbmf.
  4. Well it may have been a good showboat for UK,just hope the tourists don't sue for misleading advertising when they see the real shambles that exists. You can be 100% sure that the average joe wont benefit one iota from any revenue that may come in thats for sure
  5. Not convinced in slightest....Time will tell...
  6. Its was successful yes,but all will be forgotten in six months, but the only people who have or will make a profit are the already rich. What positives... Some medals.. And a short sports revival.
  7. The real uk,not the rose tinted olympic mirage........!!!
  8. In my opinion the games will cost this country billion s and we will still be paying for it in 30 years time. Ok the rich will probably get richer at our expense, but whats new there?? Feelgood factor for a month or 2...thats it. Just hope the tourists dont get to see the real uk,over 800 soup kitchens in many major towns now, more urgently needed. Patients dieing because money is not available for treatments etc, etc. The real uk,not the rose tinted olympic mirage.
  9. Olympics gold medals well worth it. They only cost £4.5 million.each. Think health, schools, jobs, jobs, etc That is not counting the real costs of those who have lost out bigtime,Businesses forced to close, loss of business etc. Sorry to be a killjoy but just a waste of money.
  10. Bit of a surprise visitor at out local recycling center on sunday... Quite made my day. http://dtvseries.com/images/IMG_0506.MOV http://dtvseries.com/images/IMG_0507.MOV
  11. Not into sport myself but they done well.
  12. See he is still at it,just put him on a bloody plane....the EU should be bloody shamed of themselves.
  13. http://ocac.co.uk/ Yes its my site but you can use it regardless of your isp blocking or tracking.
  14. They certainly wont need anywhere near as many olymic lanes to get visitors back after the event, about half i reckon....
  15. Sport is like Marmite, love it or hate it. Dont personally think it will do anything for this country, the only ones that will benefit are the already rich. Ordinary people are losing money hand over foot,Businesses having to close down because staff and goods cant get to them,Taxi drivers are actually taking time off for the Olympic period.(Appropriate phrase considering the bloody shower that are running it...) Anyone who works or has business in london area is suffering. This is without the stress and inconvenience that the road closures and olympic lanes have caused to commuters etc.Its making peoples journeys 4 times as long as usual. Olympics in UK fine, but what a stupid place to have it. They should have found somewhere central uk near an airport away from a large city to do it. We will be paying bill for this for 20-30 years, and will never see any benifit to the general population from it.
  16. long shot i know but worth asking. Trying to buy a cheapish lathe and other equipment as i want to make some bits for trike and also start making a model steam engine for boat. So if you have anything that may be useful let me know please
