One of my neighbors has an kid who is almost 18 and wants to know how Jobseeker's Allowance (JSA) works nowadays, when i say works i mean is it only payable for 3, 6 or 12 months do you have to take every job they offer or can you just keep refusing them or if you refuse xx number do they cut you money, he lives at home right now so has no Council Tax or rent to pay or anything like that, I know they have got fairly tight as of late but know nothing about JSA.

I have checked the Govt website here https://www.gov.uk/jobseekers-allowance/overview but as with any govt website it's as clear as mud as far as details go.
