Been ill,Bit of heart problems, also got silly amount of back pain,so it even hurts to sit down now.

Be about a bit more now i hope. Not that i got much to say as i cant even go into garden nowadays.

Been 7 years today since i last went except for medical reasons.

Pc is a godsend, mainly youtube & videos altho i still have my forum which has has 1 post (by me) in over a year.
Just upgraded to Virgin Gig+ internet, getting 950 mbps down & 45mbps up which is nice.

    Hope you are all well?

good to hear from you Dave, i did notice you weren't about as some are regulars here each day.

sorry to hear your health is worse at the moment, hope that back pain gets easier for you.

That makes my internet speed looks like i am crawling along, only 150 here. When i first moved in 6 years ago it was just 2mbps until the upgraded the local cabinet to fibre.  real pain to do anything and used to borrow others connections to down load stuff😁

    Take care

ATTENTION 🚫 *If I get vaccinated*:/ Treatment 1.- Can I stop wearing the mask? - No 2.- Can they reopen restaurants etc and everyone work normally? - No 3.- Will I be resistant to covid? - *May be*, but we don't know exactly, it probably won't stop you getting it 4.- At least I won't be contagious to others anymore? - *No you can still pass it on*, possibly, nobody knows. 5.- If we vaccinate all children, will school resume normally? - No 6.- If I am vaccinated, can I stop social distancing? - No 7.- If I am vaccinated, can I stop disinfecting my hands? - No 8.- If I vaccinate myself and my grand parents , can we hug each other/say goodbye before they die. - No 9.- Will cinemas, theatres and stadiums be reopened as normal, after vaccines? - No 10.- Will the vaccinated be able to gather the community closer? - No 11.- What is the real benefit of vaccination? - *The virus may not kill you*. 12.- Are you sure it won't kill me? - No 13.- If statistically the virus didn't kill me anyway ... Why would I get vaccinated?" - To protect others. 14.- So if I get vaccinated, the others are 100% sure I'm not infecting them? - No 15.- is there liability if I get seriously injured or die? -NO 💥 So it is true that the shot does not give immunity. Does not eliminate the virus. Does not prevent death. Does not guarantee you won’t get it. Does not prevent you from getting Covid.. Does not stop you passing it on Does not eliminate the need for travel bans. Does not eliminate the need for business closures. Does not eliminate the need for lockdowns. Does not eliminate the need for masking. So...Why the hell am I getting vaccinated.... To keep running the pharmaceutical BUSINESS? to help bring in the "Great reset". Something more nefarious? 🤔 End the lockdowns and restrictions NOW 🚫🚫🚫

    YAAAAWWWWN  There's always one,

No 16, - Have i got to much time on my hands? - Yes

Recovering now from it and I have been pretty ill including a paramedic visit.  My mum went down with it first and ended up in hospital - plasma transplant etc.     My dad was home and I could not get hold of him on phone.  So drove over there and found him collapsed but conscious.   Had to get an ambulance to him.   He tested positive.  So it was during that time I was trying to assist him before paramedics come I picked up a big dose from him.  He is still bedbound after refusing to stay hospital.

I am now this friday 2 weeks into it and recovering slowly and getting back to work but its been horrid.

Fingers crossed over the worse of it.

    Thanks for replies folks.

Son is recovering well with only minor symptoms & is looking forward to getting back to work on monday.

I have thankfully had no symtoms,so hopefully panic over.

    .

    that's good news 🙏

Dave you not had your vaccination yet ? considering your at risk and an old bugger 🤣 🤣

  7. I hope your son recovers quickly and hopefully has not passed the infection on to you Dave. All the luck in the world to you both.

my son and his partner have had covid twice now, my sons partner works in a nursing home and that's where she caught it from.  nine people died from covid at the home.

The residence and staff are now tested weekly and that seems to have cured the issues they were having with covid and no more deaths so far.

My brother-in-laws nephew died of covid, only 49. I

  8. Got this sent to me, thought i would share it here 😁

    TOOLS EXPLAINED

DRILL PRESS: A tall upright machine useful for suddenly snatching flat metal bar stock out of your hands so that it smacks you in the chest and flings your beer across the room, denting the freshly-painted project which you had carefully set in the corner where nothing could get to it.

WIRE WHEEL: Cleans paint off bolts and then throws them somewhere under the workbench with the speed of light. Also removes fingerprints and hard-earned calluses from fingers in about the time it takes you to say, 'Oh sh*t'

DROP SAW: A portable cutting tool used to make studs too short.

PLIERS: Used to round off bolt heads. Sometimes used in the creation of blood-blisters.

BELT SANDER: An electric sanding tool commonly used to convert minor touch-up jobs into major refinishing jobs.

HACKSAW: One of a family of cutting tools built on the Ouija board principle... It transforms human energy into a crooked, unpredictable motion, and the more you attempt to influence its course, the more dismal your future becomes.

VISE-GRIPS: Generally used after pliers to completely round off bolt heads. If nothing else is available, they can also be used to transfer intense welding heat to the palm of your hand.

OXYACETYLENE TORCH: Used almost entirely for lighting on fire various flammable objects in your shop. Also handy for igniting the grease inside the wheel hub out of which you want to remove a bearing race.

TABLE SAW: A large stationary power tool commonly used to launch wood projectiles for testing wall integrity.

HYDRAULIC FLOOR JACK: Used for lowering an automobile to the ground after you have installed your new brake shoes, trapping the jack handle firmly under the bumper.

BAND SAW: A large stationary power saw primarily used by most shops to cut good aluminum sheet into smaller pieces that more easily fit into the trash can after you cut on the inside of the line instead of the outside edge.

TWO-TON ENGINE HOIST: A tool for testing the maximum tensile strength of everything you forgot to disconnect.

PHILLIPS SCREWDRIVER: Normally used to stab the vacuum seals under lids or for opening old-style paper-and-tin oil cans and splashing oil on your shirt; but can also be used, as the name implies, to strip out Phillips screw heads.

STRAIGHT SCREWDRIVER: A tool for opening paint cans. Sometimes used to convert common slotted screws into non-removable screws and butchering your palms.

PRY BAR: A tool used to crumple the metal surrounding that clip or bracket you needed to remove in order to replace a 50 cent part.

HOSE CUTTER: A tool used to make hoses too short.

HAMMER: Originally employed as a weapon of war, the hammer nowadays is used as a kind of divining rod to locate the most expensive parts adjacent the object we are trying to hit.

UTILITY KNIFE: Used to open and slice through the contents of cardboard cartons delivered to your front door; works particularly well on contents such as seats, vinyl records, liquids in plastic bottles, collector magazines, refund checks, and rubber or plastic parts. Especially useful for slicing work clothes, but only while in use.

ADJUSTABLE WRENCH: aka "Another hammer", aka "the Swedish Nut Lathe", aka "Crescent Wrench". Commonly used as a one size fits all wrench, usually results in rounding off nut heads before the use of pliers. Will randomly adjust size between bolts, resulting in busted buckles, curse words, and multiple threats to any inanimate objects within the immediate vicinity.

Son of a bitch TOOL: Any handy tool that you grab and throw across the garage while yelling 'Son of a bitch' at the top of your lungs. It is also, most often, the next tool that you will need.

  9. This will be the first xmas with just the two of us, we had booked to go out for lunch boxing day but with the covid restrictions announced today the restaurant will be closed.

Hope you all have the best Christmas and sure will be a different one this year.

Will also raise a glass to All1  i miss his cheeky comments to Zorro. 😁

  10. She passed away peacefully at 8.35pm on Thursday at a London care home with her husband Scott Mitchell by her side.

She died from Alzheimer's aged 83, such a cruel  disease.

I remember her mostly from all the carry on films,  RIP Barbara

  11. i forgot to reset my time on on my badge and got a £60 ticket, parked at 10am in morning and badge set at 2 .

They tried to say my car was parked from 2am  and only allowed 3 hours, i appealed it and pointed out that it was a mistake and

if the warden would have looked at where i was parked it was only open from 8am so impossible to park at 2am.

They let me off with a warning.

who remembers the stupid mobile cameras, i got loads of tickets as they always took a pictures of the rear of the car and failed to look at the front where my badge was displayed.

After complaining I managed to get my car reg plate white listed in there database so i didn't get any more tickets sent out.
