  1. I have a big George Foreman.

I am so glad I bought it.

Take 4 "all beef" beefburgers (Birds Eye or whoevers) and cook them in a George Foreman.

You do get a drip tray with the GF.

5 or 6 minutes and they are thoroughly cooked. Enjoy!

Now look at the drip tray ......... it is full of grease, and I mean full.

All that saturated fat is what you would eat if you fried the burgers.

Another step to a heart attack.

Now those 4 "all beef" beefburgers taste absolutely wonderful and actually taste of BEEF.

My other half's neices say that my burgers are far the best they have ever had.

I don't eat burgers very often but my burgers are simply the best when cooked in a George Foreman.

Add sliced tomato, onion and a little relish and wow! (Forget the barbecue, use a George)

  2. Everytime I want to film or photograph my kids, whether its at the school athletics or if they are performing on a stage your told you cant! why not?? It's not like there are other kids walking around in skimpy costumes, ###### pathetic! gunna start a campaign as we will have no memories of our children when they get older.

Even when you do film or photograph other people look at you as if your some sort of paedophile :Furious:

I think that we should challenge all schools and authorities who prevent us recording these precious memories

Give me your camera and I'll tell the school I'm from the Times

  3. throw an ice cube on the floor and the uk comes to a halt.

    All1

I always laugh when the news comes on. "CHAOS ON THE ROADS", "BRITAIN GRINDS TO A HALT" etc..

Travel to Moscow (-10 degrees in the day) and there's no disruption to trains etc...

  4. Have a history teacher explain this - (if they can).

    Strange but true coincidence

    lincoln.jpgkennedy.jpg

Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846.

John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.

Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860.

John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.

Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.

Both wives lost their children while living in the White House.

Both Presidents were shot on a Friday.

Both Presidents were shot in the head

    Now it gets really weird.

    Lincoln's secretary was named Kennedy.

Kennedy's Secretary was named Lincoln .

    Both were assassinated by Southerners.

Both were succeeded by Southerners named Johnson.

Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln, was born in 1808.

Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908.

    johnson1.jpgjohnson2.jpg

John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln, was born in 1839.

Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939.

    booth1a.jpgoswald1.jpg

Both assassins were known by their three names.

Both names are composed of fifteen letters.

Now hang on to your seat.

Lincoln was shot at the theater named 'Ford'.

Kennedy was shot in a car called 'Lincoln' made by 'Ford'.

Lincoln was shot in a theater and his assassin ran and hid in a warehouse.

Kennedy was shot from a warehouse and his assassin ran and hid in a theater.

Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials.

    And here's the kicker...

A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe , Maryland

A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe.

  5. I am totally amazed at the different in petrol prices this week.

Lozally the price is 121.9p / litre.

In a small village in Wales it was 117.9p / litre.

That's 4p per litre less than at my local large garage.

How can an independant retailer sell at 4p per litre less and still make a profit?

That's approx 18p per gallon less in old money.

I remember the days when people would drive to the other side of town to save 1p a gallon.

    What happened?

  6. fuel_price.gif

On my little image the manufacturer gets only 27p and the retailer 9p = 36p

The government gets (duty+vat) 80p per litre (based on £1.16/litre) at last years 15% VAT.

V.A.T has (as we know) reverted back to 17.5% in January and next year V.A.T @ 20% so even more for the government.

So when the cost of oil goes up then the government get an even bigger slice based on their duty calculations.

I am already cutting back on my mileage not because of global warming but because I can't afford the petrol.

Petrol prices effects the poor even more because it's a bigger percentage of their (already low) income.

The Dreams sale has been on since November 2008, yes 2008.

    dreams-bbebs-jan-2010-week-11-pinned-hor-02a.gif

They always say "Ends Soon", "Specially Extended", "Ends Monday" etc...

Will it really end after only 16 months of continued sales?

  8. .............. make sure you bring Angel Delight, Branston Pickle, Ginsters Pasties, Fray Bentos Pies, Walls bangers, CREAM EGGS, Charlesworths Pork Pies, Oxo's, Bisto Gravy Granules, . . . . . . . . . . . . . . and as many bottles of Reverend James as you can carry.

Sometimes don't you just miss living in Britain?
