The converter is a complete waste of money, make up your own mind what to do with it.
So I just need a ordinary adapter like a Holliday one instead bro!
-
Lol you haven't told me if the converter will run it ok broOK, it's safe with a simple adaptor, you don't need a voltage converter.
The converter came today in post
I kneed to know weather to wrap it up or not lol :-S
-
OK, it's safe with a simple adaptor, you don't need a voltage converter.
Will it still work with the converter?
I've already ordered one lol
-
It says
Switching power supply
Model - TLO1C - 050100U
Input : 100-240V-50/60Hz 0. 32A MAX
Output : 5V - 1000mA
That's what the two pin plug for interactive helecopter says on it
If that's what you need?
-
they sell them ones at computer shows and you can use any 4 gang that as surge protectsion
have a look at this
or the is this 4 gang one
you will still need the converter/adapter.
So I would still need a serge protector with this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171177943844?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649
-
id just get him to buy his own plug
Lol don't be mean pmsl
-
When you do the first charge use a surge protector if you can a lot of 4 gang plugs have this now
better the surge protector go than the home Circuit Breaker or fuse box
The trouble with that item is it's not in the UK cobra :-(
That would cost me around £50 and it's £50 I can't really afford
I'm hoping the one I listed at start from the UK will work?
I've posted the manual for the wi spi hoping anybody can find what's needed for voltage requirements for changing it to work in the UK
I have to get ASAP and if I have to buy over seas at the USA it's going to take weeks to post off to me so may not get here for Xmas
-
Here's the instructions for it if any help?
http://www.interactivetoy.com/manuals/WiFli_AC-eng.pdf
Even though on box it's listed as a wi spi not a wi fi this is the manual that's in the box
I've gotta order the thing to power it up in the UK tomorrow at the latest as time is ticking on :-/
-
I'd say the converter is the better option, considering the device will be using a 110 Volts. Where with the adapter, i feel you could be taking a bit of a gamble with our 220/240 volt system.
As you don't want a dissapointing Xmas over a couple of quid more, seing that you've already stepped intil the unusal realm already...
:-)

The is this
http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Power-Strip-Outlets-Protector/dp/B00B7NE91U/ref=pd_sim_e_4
and yes that is a Circuit Breaker so you will not be blowing it up.
Think I'm Gonna go with the step down converter one as only need the one ;-)
Plus the one in the UK will only cost me 24.00 including postage
If I buy from over seas it will be around £30 just for postage
-
I've been told it has to be a grounded one it's different from a usual one you can buy anywhere in UK
-
I don't know anything about electrics lol that's why I asked in here lol
If I get the wrong one I'd blow it sky high and it would be a very expensive orniment
-
Unsure if I put in correct area if I haven't please feel free to move
I've bought this http://www.amazon.com/Interactive-Toy-Concept-Spi-Helicopter/dp/B008BY1S62/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1385466749&sr=8-1&keywords=wi-spi+helicopter
As a Christmas pressent but it's got the USA plug
The two prongs with little bumps on them
I need to find a adapter either like this
http://www.amazon.com/Ceptics-Grounded-Universal-Plug-Adapter/dp/B0080R95XI/ref=pd_sim_sbs_e_3
Or like this
http://www.beststuff.co.uk/store/HQ-100-Watt-Step-Down-Voltage-Converter.htm
But I'm not sure which one is the best one for it?
The step down is available in the uk so not to bad money wise but the grounded adapter I can't seem to find in the uk only USA and it's £5.00 plus £30.00 shipping just for a plug :-(
I know some of you in here are from the USA or have products from there and live in the UK so I'm asking for your help?
I need to get ASAP as like I said its for Christmas
And if I got to buy from the USA it's gotta be sooner rather than later

Given your line is with Sky why not look at Sky as well i know they do offer a true unlimited deal, don't forget to sign up via quidco or topcashback and get some money back, you get money back for nothing, i done this with Sky the other day and a whole years viewing will only set me back £60 plus I get to keep the sky+ box (which i'm sure i can sell for a few quid then i have my dish quad LNB which will take my freesat PVR when Sky is finished with, as i say it's money for nothing so you may as well get something back for moving ISP's

Sky isnt sadly unlimited for me id have to pay £17 odd a month for a capped usage because they havent alocated it for our town yet :-(

I am currantly with BT
But!!!!
I was paying them £20.60 pm then they decided to up it to £21.00 pm in jan
Now there demanding i pay them £41.50 pm!
They say my bill for the 4 months is £84.91 but demand that i start paying them £41.50 from the 15th of may a hike up of £20.50 for broadband costing only £21.60 pm!
They say they have upped my payments because my broadband from 23rd May my contract ends so payments will go back upto £24.70 pm & with regards to my bb direct debit payments have been asked to be incresed to £41.50 because on my bill there is £3.60 left over from my previous bill & a £10.00 charge because a dd bounced because BT tried to take it 2 days early so money wasnt in account!
The whole point of Monthly Payment Plan is that the 3 payments you make each quater should clear the bill by the date the next bill is produced which is 27th July
£41.50 x 3 isnt £84.91 its £124.50 which is £39.59 Over the bill
Also july 27th is 4 months away so i will have paid them £166.04 so £81.91 over what my bill is
So ive asked them for my MAC code which they have gave me
BUT
I have to pay BT £30.00 for having it!
Even though my contract ends May 23rd
So im now looking for another supplier for my broadband
It has to be Unlimited like what i currently have with BT
My phoneline isnt with BT its with Sky because BT kept hiking up my prices even though i wasnt using my phone because i have my mobile contract with orange
Ive looked into Orange which says its only £5.00 for unlimited for orange customers but upon asking they say its £23.50 for just there broadband but if i change my supplier for phone it will be £18.50 :-/
A lot of ppl swear by them but im asking you what you think?
My youngest bro swears by Squak Squak but i have loads of friends who have left them because there not very good for signal & there call centers are in India so you get ppl who you either can not understand or they can not understand you LOL
Soooooo
I need the help of my fellow friends in Jamers Pad
Who is the Best broadband Only provider????

Dammit!
I told the customs at the Swedish end of the bridge to look out for an obscure englishman in a van, but obviously they didn't listen :Smiler:

Ive tried & tried & tried again to NOT fill that ruddy crap in
The ruddy council send some woman who bangs on the door like some ruddy bailiff!
I soooo want that track you keep a knocking but you cant come in!
I would put it on my hifi and ignore the ruddy woman!
I don't vote
Ive never voted
I'll never vote
So why waste my pen filling some crap form like that in and then have junk male shoved through my door to vote for tom dick or harry!
NO THANK YOU!
