  1. What facts? There are none. Unless you're Mystic Meg nobody knows the future. Legislation can change in 24hours, I mean, the register to vote deadline was extened... policies can change in a heart-beat. All I knew is that staying in would result in a more 'predicable' future. That's pretty much what I based my decision on. Quite a risk adverse person by nature.

Well to start with it would have been nice to have Moodys come and and say they WILL downgrade us if we leave, you see the problem is that politicians lie to us so often i trust nothing they say, also the poss breakup of the UK, NONE of this was spoken about we just had politicians talking about WW III and when that kind of thing comes out it's time to switch off, anyway it's been done, i think alot of people voted out due to immigration but i think they will be surprised i don't think the number will change that much and from what i see in London a lot of them have had kids here so i presume will have legal right to stay with their child in the UK, so people who voted out thinking millions will go will be shocked, just my 2ps worth

  2. Well i was in for a long night last night happy for a night of viewing and watching us leave, however when they all came back saying IN was going to win, i turned off TV and went to bed at 2.30am not knowing what was unfolding till i got up at 7AM and was very happy but also very shocked, however one thing that has p1ssed me off big time is now we have made our choice everyone is telling us all the problems we are going to have, some i knew about some i didn't but WHY OH WHY could we not be given the facts by both sides before the vote instead of after, i mean i did look for facts but more chance of finding an honest member of parliament then true facts.

I say to the people who voted remain, don't blame the "OUT" voters blame the politicians for failing to give us facts instead of telling us the world is going to cave in and World War 3 is round the corner.

Lesson for ALL politicians tell the voters the truth and stop feeding us bullshit.

  3. Before you do this, check the rules.

I'm sure I read somewhere that a flashing red light on a motorised vehicle is illegal.

OK thanks i was just about to pop out in the morning to get it, i went for the CatEye in the end at £40, but i'll do some digging first

  4. Thanks Jamer i was hoping for a deditcated pushie to give some input, but i have been hunting round push bike websites and the top three that come to mind (without spending sill money) are the Knog Blinder Road R70 that you suggested, Trek Bontrager Flare R and CatEye Rapid X3, having had a quick nose it's looking like the CatEye will get my money as it's 100 lumens but not made final decision as yet.

  5. I ride a motorbike and am going to start riding with a rucksake on my back and it has mesh pocket which i want to put some kind of red flashing push bike light in it and i'm looking for suggestions as far what brand to look out for etc, they will be powered by rechargable batteries of some sort (AA/AAA), any hints or tips you can let me have would be handy.

  6. It's to do with timing, if you need to alert someone you are there then having a whistle in your mouth all the time is a quicker way to alert someone rather then having to move your thumb from the grips to the horn button it's fractions of seconds but they say it helps, so going with their knowledge as they know more then me.

  7. Lomg story but i'll try to keep it brief, riding round London on the bike most people seem to ignore the bike horn or even the odd f**k off, so was looking at another way to make dozy van/Black cab and pedestrians pay some attention and i came across a police escort a while ago who done away with sirens and used whistles like a football ref, so done some digging and pulled over and spoke to one of these guys when i say him parked and and found out they buy the whistles form a site called www.acmewhistles.co.uk spoke to them and bought what plod uses, however it turns out i must have a fat head as when lid is on and whistle is in place the whistle keeps hitting the chin guard of the lid so is not good my whistle's spec is Dimensions: 4.5(L) x 1.8(W) x 2(H) cms but i need something more like 3.5cm long, I know it's very anal but i'm an anal kind of guy (don't go there) about this stuff, so anyone know of any other sites that may be of use to me?

  8. I'm sure some of you have seen these machines that work in the kitchen to suck out all the air and seal a bag and you can freeze food etc, but i'm after something a wee bit better that will be able to suck down clothes, i'm not intrested in those backs you roll out and the air comes out or those ones where you suck the air out with a hoover, these are OK but all fail after a while, i do need it to be very good, does anyone use anything like this at work or could either give me a maker or a model to look out for, I'm unsure on costs but it wont get much use so does need to be resonable if poss.

  10. OK looks like i have drawn a blank here :Sad_32:

So two other options open to me and they are, do you know anyone in the US or Canada who will do this for me, or failing that anyone know of any companies that do this US to UK forwardng kind of schemes?

I don't want to pay $200 for a few bits of webbing.

  11. Hi i need to buy something from a US supplier, who will only ship to the UK if i spend $200, and i'd rather not do that if i can help it.

So i was wondering would anyone in the US or Canada be happy to order the stuff i need for me and have it send to yourself, then once it gets to you mail it on to me, the item i need to buy is here:

    http://www.racerpartswholesale.com/product/7914/Helen_Twowheels_Super_Pack_Straps

and will cost anywhere between $20 and $50 (not worked out how much i need to spend yet), we can either do it 2 ways, firstly you pay for everything that includes buying/shipping to yourself then shipping to me and give me a final figure and i will pay you via paypal asap, or if your unhappy doing that we can try and come up with a rough figure and i can paypal that to you first, that way you don't spend your own case, if i need to pay you more at the end of course i woud do asap.

I know some companies do this but no idea what they charge, Hopefully some folks on here vouch for me that i'm good for it, as i say i will pay up front if it helps the situation.

  12. How are you getting on Allone?

    Not to good.

I haven't installed it on my phone yet which is what i want to do in the long run for breaking news and weather issues, i have been viewing online every day and amazed at how much sh1t is spoken, people will talk about anything on there, only "following" (gettin down with the kids now)about half a dozen bodies near me, i mean i see something about 3 hour flight delay and saying "Promoted" so i presume that is twitter adverts.

Now if i follow someone called "local freds shop" and i follow him because he is local and i'm intrested in local stuff, if he is following someone in manchester and he "Re tweets" that guys tweet, am i right in thinking it WILL show up on my feed?
