  1. Put the ###### in a room with the parents of all the children who died and give them each one punch at him and if he survives then start another round.

Been watching this on Aljazeera TV - the guy had registered himself as a farmer in order to obtain large quantities of fertilizer and police described the weapon he used on the island as a "machine pistol" a fully automatic weapon (if the gun laws in Norway are like the old UK gun laws this type of weapon would've come under a part 5 firearms certificate usually only granted to gunsmiths, although I knew a retired military officer who legally owned a working sterling sub machine gun back in the day). From his photos the guy looks like a male model!

    Glad you're ok dj.

  2. We've had one for several years and especially use it in the winter. You don't get the flavor like you do on a grill outdoors, but as stated, it does a very good job of getting the fat out of the burgers. If you look around I am sure that you will find a website with suggestions for other uses. I know the new ones offer tips on other things you can do with it.

  3. CD,

Glad to hear that you are willing to give of your time and talents to help those suffering in Haiti. I will pray that your trip will be successful and that God will protect you.

  4. Mr. Dead,

First off, I want to say how badly I feel for you. Mr. Andrews must be a real asshole. I agree with the advice to get back on the dole ASAP and also to seek compensation if it is at all possible to get it.

I strongly agree with Ronnie's suggestion to write in paragraphs as your story was very hard to read. I realize that you were probably writing out of frustration and anger, but remember that anything you write can be seen by people that maybe you didn't intend to see it.

Finally, I suggest that you pay particular attention to your spelling as there are many errors in your writing.

I want to wish you the best in finding true employment and hope that when you do find it, it will be what you want to do for the rest of your working life.

  5. I would say that they must have already decided that they would like to be able to help humanity more than what their normal income allowed, so they played and found the opportunity to help others realized. It also said that they helped their family and that may have been the other reason for playing. Not everyone who plays does so just to fatten their bank account and acquire material things. I have always hoped that I would win as I also have wanted to do more for others less fortunate than me than what I am currently able to do.

But it does beg the question, 'why do the lottery in the first place'?..... hmm.gif

  6. Haven't seen anything on here pertaining to this so thought I would post it. It is only the beginning of the article. If you want the whole article, I can post it.

The UK's tax collection agency is putting forth a proposal that all employers send employee paychecks to the government, after which the government would deduct what it deems as the appropriate tax and pay the employees by bank transfer.

  7. Dave,

Everything you posted could apply over here also. The only problem is that we have more illegals and more crooks in office that we would have to hunt down and imprison or deport. As far as the seniors, someone came up with an idea to put us all on the Hawaiian Islands which I really like better. I do think you should run for office.

  9. DJW,

So sorry to hear about your mother's passing. I lost my mom to cancer 40 years ago. She weighed 49 pounds when she died. I miss her everyday, but at least her suffering is at an end. I will remember you and your family in my prayers. God Bless and be strong.

Lost me mam last night to the big C, definately caused by years of smoking, even after medical advice to stop or it would kill her.

She went peacfully in her sleep in hospital at 3:30 this morning, where's she's been high on Morphine for a while (unbeknown to me, as no-one informed me till yesterday afternoon).

She's been slowly deteriorating for 10 years, and the last 5 she's been dragging an oxygen bottle everywhere, it may sound heartless, but in a way it's a relief to see her finaly go, she's suffered quite a bit the last few years, even though she did eventually stop.

Ironicaly, she's been outlived by my Grandad, her dad, who chain smoked for about 50 years, and gave up on the spot about 25 years ago when he was told the same.

RIP Mam, I'll be downing a few for you tonight.

  10. Sparks,

I want to wish you and your wife a Happy Anniversary. You are still 21 years behind my wife and I, but the first twenty are the hardest. :Smiler: :Smiler: :Smiler:
