  2. My son is looking for funding for his final project at Uni, any help would be greatly appreciated as Tesco say 'Every Little Helps'

A Fifteen-minute documentary that will follow Simon Taylor (our Presenter) aiming to gain an understanding of just how significant Robert Howlett’s portrait ‘Isambard Kingdom Brunel and The Launching Chains of the SS Great Eastern’ was to the Industrial Revolution.

Simon Taylor will chat with historians & photographic analysts to find more information around the photograph so that he can recreate the photo in a 21st Century version of its original setting - Burrell's Wharf in Millwall, London.

Isambard Kingdom Brunel was an inspirational and hugely talented engineer who revolutionised Industrial Britain and architecture to what is it today. Much of what he created is still seen and used today. This is the primary photograph that is used wherever Brunel’s name is mentioned.

With the money raised we plan to use to cover expenses for travel and resources for the final product.

Any donation would be massively helpful to allow us to explore who one of the Greatest British Men, Isambard Kingdom Brunel was. It will also allow us the opportunity to acknowledge how the work of Robert Howlett portrayed such a historic figure.

Don’t forget to share this project and like us on Facebook @thelaunchingchain and try to and get as many people behind this fascinating documentary as possible.

    Thank you,
    The Launching Chain

  3. Sorry Jamer but AOL are the WORSE for spam

Yahoo was my first e-mail provider way before BT got there hands on tham

If you know how to use yahoo you will never get a lot of spam 1996-2015 in 19 years of using yahoo

I can say I've had less than 100 spam in my inbox

(and about the same amount of real e-mail have ended up in my spam folder)

When you set up yahoo e-mail you setup a master address (this is the one you sign in to)

you never give this one out to anybody (it's just for you to know about and for you to use to sign in on)

from inside this e-mail address you then setup a sub e-mail address this is the one

you then give out to family/friends and coworkers (It's very hard to hack this as the is no password to hack)

you then setup the disposable e-mail inside the master you will have 500 e-mail address's to use for giving out over the web

Here is a youtube video showing you what I'm saying

Thanks but been using Yahoo now for a while since Sky changed to their crap service! My email is also on my business cards so cannot change it now, so while I appreciate your guide on how to avoid spam it is far too much effort in my opinion to avoid something you should not be getting in the first place.

  4. Yahoo are the WORSE!! Seriously!! I am with Sky, they used to use Google foe their email and to be fair the service was superb, 18 months ago Sky changed to Yahoo, worse thing they have ever done, nothing but spam spam spam now and I mean daily! Have a look on the Sky forums under mail and you will see no end of issues regarding Yahoo. I was even hacked last week and had to change my password and security questions.

  5. I have been using macs since 2007 and I would never go back to using windows through choice, it is more than just no viruses, it just works, everything works seamlessly, I cannot honestly ever remember having any issues, seriously, you need to try one for a week and then you will appreciate what I am saying. I appreciate they are not cheap but I guess you only get what you pay for and I would rather pay the difference and be issue free.

  6. I have the 13" version of the same Macbook Pro.

I have a separate network hard drive for all my larger files but depending on what he wants to use it for specification is excellent, he will NEVER look back I promise you that much!

He could upgrade it to 500gb for an extra £249, so double the flash storage. Don't forget you also have iCloud and Apple have reduced their prices a lot for the cloud, so you have additional storage there, so does he really need a bigger drive?
