  1. Just to put the record straight here...

I only park in these spaces either, when its close to the time that the store is closing and there are plenty available or if its late at night when babies should be in bed! Even when you park the other side of the car park, like Divvy has experienced you can guarantee when you come back to the car someone has parked right next to you, even though there are still loads of empty spaces around. Problem here is that they allow the same poxy SMALL space for trucks, vans and 4x4's as the small vehicles, now if they had spaces available for bigger vehicles, then guess what... I WOULD PARK IN THEM, and this is one of the problems. Furthermore, I counted over 30 spaces in the local supermarket today just for disabled and another 20 spaces for Parent & Baby, are we really going to have over 30 disabled people in the supermarket all at the same time? Very strange as they only have 2 x mobility scooters for use and 10 disabled trollies, so something does not add up.

  2. Sods. Which car park mate. Most of them are so small you can not get out the doors if parked next to cars.

A few months back in Hereford I pulled over by multi-story to let wife out car. It was double yellow I must admit. A taxi was in front also on double yellows. I waited for him to go to see him put it in reverse and reverse straight into my car causing damage - only a little it seemed but there was damage. He drove off after giving details as there was witnesses. When I went through insurance he denied it. I gave him a right verbal on the phone and I was going to visit him but was stopped by wife. Took 5 months to sort out.

Got hire car in the end for 10 days while sorted at £148 per day. He paid for that. He could have got away with a repair privately which I offered first of all for around £150.00 as that was what someone estimated that I know. I reckon his insurance bill would have been around £2k in the end. He excess I know was 1k.

  3. I have a £33,000 Mercedes Vito Sport truck, it is 3 weeks old, I parked in a normal (always too small) parking bay at the local retails park today and came back to this!

I waited for the guy to come back, he was with his wife. I asked him how on earth he managed to reverse into my truck? He said that his car was overhanging at the front, I said well surely you felt it when you backed into my truck he said no. He said sorry and went to get into his car, I said hang on mate, sorry is not good enough as this is clearly damaged, he said it will come out with a bit of T Cut to which I replied maybe it will but I should not have to have T Cut used on my new vehicle! Nevertheless, he was reluctant to give me his details, so I gave him a choice, either give me your details or I will kick your door in before you drive off, simple!

He gave me his details and email, so I am about to send this little lot to him but there is no way that T Cut will remove this it's scratched! I hate parking in normal spaces so I am going back to using the bigger ones in future! Totally pissed off would be an under statement.

  4. I currently have everything through Sky, TV, Phone, Broadband and we now have Optic Fiber available at our loal exchange, now BT seem to be slightly cheaper with their deals, Sky want £30 for Fiber Pro (up to 76mb speed) plus £12.25 line rental then £50 connection fee.

BT Infinity £26 for up to 76mb speeds (£20 for first 3 months) £14.60 line rental, (£10.75 if paid 12 months in advance) so currently it's cheaper to go back to BT.

Anyone got anything to add to this? Other than the fact BT call centre is in India which I hate but it looks like I will be switching back to BT.

I have ordered BT Infinity Option 2 'Unlimited' maximum of 52mb download for my exchange and 13mb upload.

Better than the current 2.6mb download tat I have been getting for years! Roll on October 11th, can't wait!
