sparks
Having struggled with the 'insert media', I'll just put in the links! In a lfetime of gigs, here's my top 5 of ones I attended (and can actually remember ) ...And courtesy of youtube I can re-live them! As I said, does music make you what you are...or is it the other way around? No.5 (Bunked out of school to see this) No.4 (First real spliff !) No.3 Bowie - Glastonbury 2000 (A teenager again!) No.2 (Took our 8 yr old to her first stadium gig - Not sure who likes green day the most!) No.1 (If there was a god he would be called Joe Strummer!) So there you go... An anarchic hippy....lol
2ndLoser
Steve Hillage! You like Steve Hillage? I've got all of his albums! Memories of the LSD that was comming out of Wales in the late 70's - far out... Ta for the link ;)
sparks
I have a copy of the green album in appropriately coloured vinyl - mint condition... Trouble is, if I get to play Hillage now, it has to be when the other half is out... Still - Lay back, volume up, and chill out - although nowadays it's with a glass or two of malt whisky! 2ndLoser
This'll blow your mind: I'm not really a fan of hardcore but I have to make an exception with this guy He's my step-son Nijmegen March 2011 Lol :Teeth:
sparks
Snap! Lol The last time I listened to Green (the glorious om riff) I got so laid back on a bottle of minervois I crashed out... The perils of age...! I get Live Herald out every now and again, but what gets me (with my mix of music influences) is his 1988 Live Aktivator track - kind of sums me up really! Nice link, but I'm also not into hardcore - because whilst the mind is willing, the body (aka 'dad dancing') is not! ps. All you non hillage fans can ignore our anal banter btw...
