Rother 37
I need to clone an hard drive Is clone the right word - you know, make an exact image of a current hard drive so that in the event of the original hard drive crashing It's a case of just swapping out the broken one for the new one with the image of the first already on it. What software would do this accurately? I intend to clone it then fit the new hard drive into the pc to check all is correct and working
Ogre 25
I used Paragon Hard Disk Suite 12 only last week to clone my laptop disk drive to a new SSD drive. Worked with no problem.
djweeble 43
I use Beyond Compare 3 to make triplicate copies of my music drives, it does what it says on the tin, and does it very well.
Rother 37
Thanks for that, I will get (cough) both software's. Does it make the hard-drive boot-able as the original?
Ogre 25
Yes - it's an exact clone. My win7 now boots in 8 seconds
