  6. Clear as mud this one now, rang em today and was told i had to have one even if i was watching German TV that is beamed up to a German satellite and beamed back down i'd have to pay, me need to do more reading at DJ's link All1
  7. But Gazza in my case i would have tv with aeriel and sat dish (Freesat) and i do use it but 95% of the time it's for itv/ch4 & ch5, I watch about 2 hours of BBC tv a week, surely they would have to prove i was watching BBC or had taped live BBC tv via freesat box or something, but that's presuming i let them i won't let them in without a warrant, surely i dont need licience for watching ITV/Ch4/Ch5? All1 Nice to see you by the way m8, no sparks on here they have driven him away but he lives on in me
  8. Thanks for the link DJ, as i say befor ei dumpo it i want to make sure i wont miss out but to be honest i dont think i will. All1
  9. Well looks like i may be ok to do without it. So i can't recored any BBC shows onto a PVR or watch shows as there broadcast on ANY device, however i can watch what i like on iplayer and not have to pay and i have it in writing so i'll keep an eye on what is broadcast on BBC1, 2, 3 & 4 and what i would have watched check if it is on iplayer, i'll do that for the next month and if ip;layer shows everything then i might as well get rid to be honest the only thing i'll miss is newsnight, but i can live without that. All1
  10. Need to look intot his a bit to be honest, i need to make sure stuff i would watch on BBC is on iplayer first so i'll be doing that over the next month, then if everythiung i watch is on iplayer i'll contact tv bods direct and see what they say, i'll do it by snail mail just to be safe, i'll update here when i know more. All1
  11. Well to be honest the back of my Licence tells me jack to be honest, but looking at their site it does say "Exception: If you only watch catch-up services online, then you don’t need a licence. For example, you don’t need one to use BBC iPlayer, or ITV player, to catch up on programmes after they have been shown on TV." so from that i'm ok without one if i just use catchup and this would be ok on the pc or phone or tv, it "seems" the issue is watching live or recording a live show, so me wonder if there is a PVR out there thatv can cap iplayer etc. All1
  12. I'll dig my Licence out today my pc cannot get live tv pictures unless i use sites like tvcatchup but i thought it was if you had TV card you needed one as for mobiile that has to be bull as Noel Edmunds was on Newsnight the other night saying he does not pay for Licence and i'm sure he dont run around with a dumb phone, i'll post back ;ater with what i have found out. All1
  13. I'm getting fed up paying £150 a year for my TV Licence when to be honest i rarely watch BBC1/BBC2, I was thinking of dumping it and just using iPlayer as i suspect everything i want will be on iPlayer. Has anyone done this to date, if so any problems for you doing it or anything i should be aware of? On there website they mention 4oD which i think is BS from my understanding i can watch ITV channel 4 etc live as it's nothing to do withy BBC am i right? All1
  14. Right now i use http://www.clipconverter.cc to convert some youtube videos to mp4/avi and i was wondering if anyone knows of any other sites that will do this as well, i know google has a fair few but looking for personal recomendations. All1
  15. I still keep in contact with him and he's in the middle of moving from here to Iceland (Kids speak better Icelandic then he does LOL) I was promised a much better pad with out him here, well it's not the case IMO i miss him that's for sure i know i'm a small number but does anyone remember when he made a post about giant nhs/hospital database and most said nothing to hide govt won't sell our data and sparks said that was BS they have done it in the past (DVLA) and will do it again and low and behold they are planning on just doing that. If people put there anger to one side and just look at what he says sometimes he is spot on, ok he may not say it in the way peeps wont to hear it but he has been spot on, on some things. Anyway OT as for Di I don't hate her much just p1sses me off that when it kicked off with her and Charlie boy it was ALL HIS FAULT and now we can see some of it was BS, she was a very clever woman in some aspects (Moreton/Green books etc) however not so smart when it comes to belting up in the back of a car going a crazy speeds anyone with half a brain knows you won't outrun a bike in a city like Paris. Anyway just wanted the people to know who thinks the sun shines out of her backside that it don't, watch this space more dirty Di secrets coming up sooner or later, Charlie has more staff then me, Boo Hoo, get over it. 16. So the woman who could do no wrong and had never done anything to help the marrige break down is caught with her pants down again. So she was the woman who briefed the morton guy over his books about her despite the fact she said she had never meet him. LIAR There have been other press reports she had meet at least 2 other journalists to brief them on royal issues. Now we find out she was the one who feed people the so called "Royal phone book". Not so innocnet now is she? Sure Charlie had his part to play but please stop portraying her as the victim, it takes 2 to tango, and she has been proven to be a very manipulative person. All1

Grab an earky Crimbo pressie your yourself or if the Mrs stinks get it for valentines, also the Mrs loves it tooooooo All1
  19. Yea i know windoze won't handle MBR, but it's not partitioning the drive that is the problem, I have them set up as i want them, the problem well not problem but something i want to sort before it's too late and that is to take copies of the partitions themself, NOT the data on them or setting the partitions up this has been done, now i'm moving back over to logical partitions on some drives i want to have a copy of how that drive (and all the others) are set up, one app that i know of is something called "Active@ Partition Recovery" which can be found here: http://www.partition-recovery.com This is freeware but was hoping for feedback from others who have used this kind of software, does nobody else back up partition tables etc themself? All1
  20. In the old days I used to partition my drive into various logical partitions, but as drives became bigger i done it less and less and normally just set the drive to a letter and away i went, trouble is that left me needing a case with a stupid amount of drive spaces (13 at last count), so i have done away with the 1TB drive and invvested in new WD 3TB Blacks, which now means i'm back to partitioning drives with logical drives, and what i want to be able to do is take an image/snapshot of some kind of ALL my partitions and save that info so if something goes wrong and i loose a drive or partition then i can just use the app to recover from i have lost. In an ideal world i'l like to use something like a boot CD or thumb drive as i don't like running these kind of tools within windows, does anyone have any suggestions for some sort of software that will do the job i don't mind if it's freeware/shareware or even paid for app. All1
