  3. Not as surreal as this pair It's not Greece - the photo was taken during a football riot in Boston, it's not quite what it seems either, the guy laid down alongside his girlfriend to comfort her after she'd been knocked to the ground by riot police - a nice image never the less!
  4. This was inside a card from my daughter: 25 (pre invasion) Iraqi Dinars :Teeth:
  5. Another reason why they wouldn't would be the weather! Madrid this time of year is glorious but imagine an average summer at Glastonbury without the music... miserable :Teeth:
  6. A plea by the people of Israel: Recognizing a Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders is vital for Israel’s existence "On the eve of Prime Minister Netanyahu’s visit to Washington, more and more prominent Israelis are calling for recognizing a Palestinian state now and for negotiating with that state to achieve peace and security. They are calling it an existential Israeli interest. On May 18th, they ran unprecedented ads in Israeli papers making their case, signed by eighteen generals and twenty-seven winners of the prestigious Israel Prize, among others." http://www.dailykos.com/story/2011/05/19/977507/-Endorse-the-J-Street-AdObama-and-Netanyahu:-Act-now-to-achieve-a-two-state-peace :)
  7. Precisely! Most ISP's would go under if they were made to supply all their customers with static IP's - it just wouldn't happen! It's the volume of work that the ISP's are going to need to do to prove illegal file sharing too and the business is so competitive not one of them would be willing in the current economic climate to pass the cost of that, and the cost of sending out warning letters, on to their customers. You know the copyright warning at the start of every film well getting a letter will be the equivalent of reading that because very little can be proved and they will just be guessing 99% of the time! It's just paying lip service to the likes of Time Warner (movies) so the government can say they're doing their bit to stop file sharing, when in reality it is almost unstoppable. :D
  8. Let me know as I'm only in Norfolk and it's so light you could get away with posting it as a birthday card!! :)
  9. BT and Talk Talk are going to appeal Well no one has tested in court an IP address as being evidence identifying a party assumed to be guilty of filesharing yet. And because ISP's cannot legally use Deep Packet Inspection technologies they can only detect that you are using P2P protocol when you are downloading content. Both torrents and streaming media use P2P protocol so how will they know that you aren't just watching a legitimate movie? I can see this law being disregarded by most ISP's, as it stands it's almost unenforceable!
  10. Iv'e just found one in a P5QL Pro LGA775 mainboard box bugger!
  11. PnP cap Socket 775 PnP cap :Smiler:
  12. From Sweden a new religion emerges /http://kopimistsamfundet.se/english/ /http://torrentfreak.com/file-sharers-await-official-recognition-of-new-religion-110410/ A group of self-confessed radical pirates are pinning their hopes on gaining official recognition of their own unique belief system. The founders of the Missionary Church of Kopimism – who hold CTRL+C and CTRL+V as sacred symbols – hope that along with this acceptance will come harmony, not just with each other, but also with the police. ‘Thou shall not steal’ is one of the most well-known of the Ten Commandments. Although most familiar to those in Christian circles, its message is universal and cuts across most religious boundaries. But while stealing – taking another’s property and therefore depriving him of it – is widely frowned upon, some have a wider definition for the word. Make no mistake, if the entertainment industries were God passing their sacred rulings to Moses, there would have almost certainly been one more – Thou Shalt Not Copy. But for the followers of a brand new religion in Sweden, this commandment would be against everything they believe in. The congregation at Missionary Kopimistsamfundet – The Missionary Church of Kopimism – believe that copying is to be embraced by religion and they hope that very shortly this way of life will be officially accepted by the authorities.
  13. Great News! Now all we have to do is find a regulator in the UK who isn't corrupt. You'll know when that happens because Vodafone/BlueCoat will be for the high jump but we know that won't happen don't we. :Teeth:
  14. Thanks for the link :) I never know what the powers that be are trying to acheive when this kind of information, which they could still easily conceal, is released? Are they trying to break it to us gently that we are not alone in the universe or do they think it doesn't matter what we tell the public about Roswell we've confused them with so many lies over the years if we told them the truth now - they wouldn't believe us anyway? I consider the intervention theory (look up Lloyd Pye) a viable alternative to the theory of evolution but I understand how unpalitable that might be to those all over the world who hold strong religious beliefs, I would hope that this is a way of easing them into a different kind of reality - after all - it doesn't destroy faith, I mean who created the aliens if not God? :Teeth:
  15. Only if they can return Madeleine McCann... Otherwise "Nada" And put me down for an apartment in the Algarve for 250 quid when your country's on its knees... :Teeth:
  16. I don't think it will end - it would just be nice to know at what point could I safely stop paying the mortgage? Lol
  17. I posted this in this section because the approach of a large celestial body into our solar system and its possible repercussions seems to be a subject not for discussion by authorities globally! I listened to an Andrew Marr radio program loosely based on this topic a couple of months ago and the reason for the silence of the scientific community was that it didn't want to alarm the public concerning an event which may not even cause damage to this planet, this was, of course, before the devastating earth quake and resulting tsunami in Japan. Planet X's solar orbit is 3,600 years; it's assumed that it orbits another sun at the furthest part of its elliptical orbit which suggests that the earth is part of a binary system but this is speculation. It will pass between earth and mars and will be visible in the night sky mid to late summer this year - you can't miss it - it's 4 to 6 times the size of our planet It has completed this orbit over one million times and hasn't always caused cataclysmic damage to the earth Working on a 3,600 year timescale events on earth which may have been attributed to its passing are two ice ages and a biblical flood! China did well out of the flood btw because the tide went out an never came back so they gained 200 miles of land! Mars doesn't appear to have faired so well from Planet X's orbit - it's (axis) polar caps appear to have shifted many times Events that have been noted recently if you can believe (IRAS) NASA (Never A Straight Answer) is that Jupiter's orbit has begun to "wobble" - Big f*cking deal! So, we're not being told anything so all we can fall back on are Sumerian myths (they called Planet X "Nibiru") and the fact that the Mayan calendar stops at 2012. That doesn't mean the end of the world, just the end of their world, so South America may not be there after 2012... Nostradamus predicted that "the tin isles of st George" would be flooded so that's Cornwall f*cked! Plus there's always the cryptic / confusing book of revelations which describe the whore of Babylon - known to the Sumerians as Ishtar/Innana and guess where she was from - Nibiru! I give in Why are we always treated like children and when are we going to be warned - when another planet larger than the moon appears in the sky? Meanwhile here's some doomsday bullsh!t: And some more diss/ information: http://www.universetoday.com/14486/2012-no-planet-x/ :Teeth:

  22. Aren't the CIA and Egyptians running training camps in eastern Libya teaching the rebel forces how to use the latest heat-seeking missiles (which have been supplied via Egypt) and aren't US artillery spotters (for calling in nato airstrikes) embedded with rebel units on the ground? The training camps have been operating since the start of the conflict... Source (there's only one when it comes to middle east conflicts): Aljazeera TV http://english.aljazeera.net/news/middleeast/ :)
