  1. I wish  Seriously though, I saw this on a blog I visit regularly Reuters currency exchange rates for today . . . . and the Greek Drachma is on there . . . do they know something we haven't been told about yet ??????? The Greek drachma made a return appearance on a list of currency exchange rates of the news agency Reuters at the beginning of last week. The currency is not in use, since Greece adopted the euro in 2002. The exchange rate for the former Greek currency is left blank on the list that details market information for the world’s leading currencies traded against the euro. At the time of publication, Reuters has not commented on the addition of the old Greek currency to the list.
  2. Well, after a few months of deliberation and shopping around, I finally plumped for one of these; Kenwood DDX5026 I didn't pay anywhere near that price for it though  Now I just have to find the time to fit it
  3. Not working to Norway either, looks like it might just be a bit overloaded. But here's the picture of the front page:
  4. The ones with a water tank are just to take the "melt water" from the condenser element, if the blurb mentions filling it with ice . . . RUN AWAY !! Simple description: The air is blown through a condenser element to cool it. This also removes any moisture from the air so the condenser element becomes coated with a thin layer of ice as it cools down. The ice has to be cleared regularly or the air flow through it will be severely restricted, so the machine automatically alters the coolant flow periodically and heats up the condenser slightly, melting the ice. The "melt water" is either collected in a bucket or tank, or flows away through a hose.
  5. One of the main debates about the real basis of the US and NATO attack on Libya has focused on the most obvious reasons, that being Libyan oil, but speculation is now focusing on the even more interesting issue of Colonel Gadaffi's attempt to create a new gold currency for Arab and African states to trade with instead of the dollar. " Some believe it [the NATO/US-led Libyan invasion] is about protecting civilians, others say it is about oil, but some are convinced intervention in Libya is all about Gaddafi’s plan to introduce the gold dinar, a single African currency made from gold, a true sharing of the wealth. Gaddafi did not give up. In the months leading up to the military intervention, he called on African and Muslim nations to join together to create this new currency that would rival the dollar and Euro. They would sell oil and other resources around the world only for gold dinars. It is an idea that would shift the economic balance of the world. “If Gaddafi had an intent to try to re-price his oil or whatever else the country was selling on the global market and accept something else as a currency or maybe launch a gold dinar currency, any move such as that would certainly not be welcomed by the power elite today, who are responsible for controlling the world's central banks,” says Anthony Wile, founder and Chief Editor of the Daily Bell. " (1) (2) The attempt by Libya to create a new gold currency was backed with the vast amount of gold that Libya has collected over the years. At current conservative estimates Libya has 6.5 billion dollars worth of gold bullion stored. (3) This proves that the Libyan plan to create a new gold currency to replace the dollar, and for Arab oil producing states to demand gold in payment for oil sales instead of the US dollar, was not some pit in the sky scheme - it was a well planned and well funded threat to the US control of the worlds oil sales via the dollar being the primary currency in such sales. The invasion of Iraq was also based on two primary factors - Iraqi oil and the fact that Saddam Hussein planned to stop selling Iraqi oil in dollars and switch to the Euro. (4) This is also the reason many suspect behind the threat to attack Iran, as Iran has also claimed it wishes to replace the dollar as the primary trading currency in its oil sales. (4) The fact is that the Dollar as a currency is worthless. Its value is based solely on the fact that the United States controls the sale of oil through the dollar being the primary currency in which oil is traded around the world. " The economic essence of this arrangement was that the dollar was now backed by oil. As long as that was the case, the world had to accumulate increasing amounts of dollars, because they needed those dollars to buy oil. As long as the dollar was the only acceptable payment for oil, its dominance in the world was assured, and the American Empire could continue to tax the rest of the world. If, for any reason, the dollar lost its oil backing, the American Empire would cease to exist. Thus, Imperial survival dictated that oil be sold only for dollars. " (4) If the Dollar were to be replaced by a new currency in relation to oil sales then this would result in the total collapse of the dollar as a global currency and destroy the American economy. Therefore any nation state that threatens to undermine the dominance of the dollar and its control over global oil sales, will suffer what Iraq and Libya have suffered. Iran is also in danger as well if its oil bourse progresses from the small trading mechanism at the moment to an large scale trading mechanism that is supported by other oil producing states. (5) The fact is that the corporate media in Britain, Europe and America is not a free press, it is the Corporate Press and they are two entirely different things. The corporate media are as much dependent on the supremacy of the dollar as the American government, for a collapsed dollar would wipe out the value of the global media corporations. Fox News, CNN, Sky News and all those other media groups are all as dependent on the dollar as the rest of the US economy. A free press prints the truth whilst the corporate media print only lies and corporate propaganda. This is why the propaganda we see about the Iraq War was based on lies, eg that the war was about searching for WMD and stopping Saddam's missiles that could hit London in 45 minutes, all of which was revealed to be lies. This also why we see the Libyan attack is peddled to the masses as a 'humanitarian mission' when in reality it is Oil Imperialism and a war for the protection of the Dollar. 13. It's rumoured that Jonah McDoom wants to be the next managing director of the IMF. Never mind the fact that he is supremely under-qualified for the post, or that his track record of fucking up financial regulation in the UK, flogging our gold at rock-bottom price, running the economy into the worse bust in history, picking his nose on camera, throwing tantrums, telling lies, and generally being a cunt - what about the Curse Of Jonah? Within months, the IMF would be dead in the water...

    Libya !

NEWSFLASH ! News just in from the MOD. Call me Dave has just announced that due to recent defence cuts, the Imperial War Museum has opened its store rooms to equip this new Libyan Expeditionary Force. Pith helmets, puttees and sharp pointy sticks are now being handed out to members of Dads Army who will lead this new taskforce to defeat Gaddafi and assist Al Qaeda, sorry the rebels. The RAF reserve force of spitfires and Sopwith Camels, are now winging forth to defend the oil wells of Libya. Biggles has been called out of retirement and will be leading a new desert wing of Spitfires over Libya. Tally ho chaps ! When asked by our reporting team, Private Pike replied to the question 'Are you happy to die for oil?' he replied " Well me mum wont like it, but Captain Mainwaring says I will be alright. Corporal Jones has his sharp pointy spear and he says the Libyans don't like it up 'em, so I reckon we will be alright. We have been given the latest MOD body armour of old telephone books wrapped with sellotape to protect us and our super advanced camels will allow us to travel the desert with ease ". Outside the War Museum members of the public are assisting in refitting the Spitfires with spare parts from old Minis and Morris Minors. Its a glorious day for the New Empire of the New World Order. Öl über alles !
  20. Call his bluff :Scull: Tell him you'll welcome a letter from his lawyer explaining the legal reasons why you should remove the picture. It wont cost you anything, and you'll get some valuable information at HIS cost . . . if he puts his money where his (keyboard warrior) mouth is
  21. I'm in the market for a new stereo for the family bus - a Nissan Largo. I've got a mucho cheapo Craplins DVD player fitted at the moment, and I want to fit something decent, not competition standard, but I want reasonable quality and a few must have features as well as the normal am/fm rds etc. So, MUST HAVE's: Double DIN fitting, I won't even consider anything single DIN. Touch screen control with removable screen DVD R, RW, CD-R, CD-RW CDMP3 player USB and/or SD card slots. Play MP3, WAV, AVI, DivX, etc, etc, etc Show tag information on the screen Internal amp for main speakers, with external connections for sub amps etc DUAL ZONE, i.e. DVD playing in the rear on headphones for sound, radio or CD playing on the main speakers. MUST play DVD on the move without modifications, some don't (i.e. Pioneer AVIC range) WOULD BE NICE: Hard drive Remote control so the kids in the back can control the DVD Rear camera connection with reverse gear switching and manual selection Bluetooth for the mobile phone Selectable colour scheme Update-able firmware NOT REQUIRED but wouldn't stop me from buying it, I just wouldn't use them. Anything "i" Sat nav Internet connection My budget just for the head unit is up to £500, though I might be able to go a bit higher if I save up a few more weeks I've been looking at Pioneer, Kenwood, Alpine, etc, etc, but it's been years since I had anything to do with decent car audio, so has anyone got any advice/pointers ??
