    RIP Milky

A loss of a good friend, I posted a photo of my last dog on here a few years back and Milky got in touch wanting my address. I asked why and he said he had something to send to me, I was surprised to receive a painting done by his own fair hand of my photo. I still have it and will keep it in pride of place. Here's to a good friend and a gentleman, all the best Milky - "Gone but not forgotten".
  2. Big bully Did no-one ever tell you it's not the winning but the taking part that counts.
  3. All the best mate, enjoy the rest of your life & all the hobbies & things you have put on hold until this time. Make the most of what you've got and enjoy trying all the new things in life you never got round to before. Good times come to they who wait.

  10. Biggest waste of money going, the games are supposed to be for the people but are so overpriced it is only the richer ones that can afford it. £2012 for a ticket to the opening ceremony, what normal people can afford such extravagance for one days entertainment. (don't they know there is a recession). Hotel & accomodation prices have tripled according to some people which also makes this out of reach for non Londeners. Sorry guys but this is supposed to be a games for Great Britain but as far as I can see most of everything is south of the border. (Oh no I sound like Sparks) Anyway as far as I am concerned you can keep it and all the trouble that goes with it, I am nice and safe way up here in the sticks with decent prices & semi decent weather.
  11. I've had 12 so far & waiting on more.

  18. What a picture of innocence, with guilty written all over his face. :Hmm:
  19. Another one returning to the fold. You give them time they will return. :Thumbs_Up1:
  20. Been called for jury service a few years back but got away without going as they pled guilty before it went that far to get a lighter sentence.
  21. Excellent weather site DJ, far better than the BBC.
  22. All the best everyone & may your resolutions come true. :Thumbs_Up1:
  23. You get the cloth/skin soaking wet (leave it soaking for a day or so) and stretch it over the bin that you mentioned, you then tie it down as tight as is possible whilst still soaking wet. Once this is done you then dry out the cloth and it will become very taut and will act as a drum skin. By doing it this way the skin/cloth will expand with the water in it and when dried it will retract and tighten up again. Hope it helps. skipperjim
