Nice one James, you have the heart of a lion to keep the site going. I have been here from the start and am just as guilty as all the other members by not posting as much as I should even have Jamers is set as my home page Regards mate

It took me until this afternoon to tell my missus what's happened, to say I was upset is an understatement. All1 has upset me more than my old man dying. CT would understand how I feel. I just hope All1 wasn't alone at the end. Also just noticed his birthday is the day before mine. Hopefully Jamer will do something to commemorate All1's passing when appropriate.

I can only hope that he is at peace now. He is already missed by all of us here! R.I.P.

I would personally like to say a massive THANK YOU to Gazza!! Not only has Gazza provided JamersPad with hosting he has even done all the hard work for me, like backing up the database then transferring everything across to his server. I am more than grateful. During this process we have had no disruption to our forums at all. I have also now made Gazza admin along with myself as this makes sense. Once again Thanks Gazza you are a top man!! JamersPad continues with his generous help and hosting!

I think the idea behind staying is to ease the pressure on the NHS so 10,000 don't turn up in one week better to have 2,500 a week for 4 weeks rather than 10k in a single goal but if that is the case then certain parts of the uk will be on lockdown for some considerable time. stormbringer Christ man so sorry to hear this news, i hope everything goes ok for your buddy in ICU Eddie Large from "Little & Large" has died off COVID as well today ? Yea sod the humans save the fluffy animals..... No not being funny with you but agree i have sent a donation to help the wildlife, my father lives in Adelaide and they had some fires in the hills but nothing near him directly, but i do follow some folks on the gram who live in sydney and they were on the 10th floor of the office and they could not see out the windows due to smoke, very sad, and then comes the floods and hail the size of golf balls, i was joking to my dad on the phone all we need was a plague of locusts and low and behold 2 days later there was a story on the news about a plague of locusts somewhere, not in Aus but just ironic.

Jamerspad has been amazing and what an adventure. Met new friends here, learned so much and managed to save quite a lot on movies and software with recommendations of where to get things cheaper ? Like you Jamer I have also run sites that now are not visited and have closed them. Its such a shame however facebook still has a legacy of Jamerspad and it hopefully can go someway to fill this huge void. Jamer - also thanks for your hard work over the years and all the mods etc

Well checked the bank today and the money is there £801 plus an extra £30 for extra hassle, so holding on to my £800 for the best part of a year has cost them £105 in total, feels like they should have paid alot more for all the hassle and bullsh1t they have given me but i'm just glad to be free of them, my advice to everyone else is avoid Together Energy at all costs and don't be put off, if someone owes you money keep pushing for it, DJ & Rother many thanks for your help guys. Thank you, we ll we have been here since 1997, so 22 years not many sites can say that although I have just paid for another years hosting I am finding it more difficult to justify the constant updates and costs with the lack of use, maybe I need to start looking at new idea's. I am an avid watch enthusiast, also into Apple devices, Sonos so could look at setting up a few forums, not sure open to ideas.

I had PPI on my mortgage with a building society that did not exist anymore. The PPI people called and wanted my case NO wonder at 30% of anything they get You might have been happy Macs with someone taking your dosh for doing 2 hours work (in your case you must have been due over 12K) I was not and told em to do one. In all honesty - I would rather get nothing than fill their pockets with my actual money. A bit of research (not hard) I found that the original building society had been bought out by the Halifax I went on the Halifax site and they had a section that just deals with PPI. I had long lost the paying in book - no online banking in those days and no idea what the account number was. All I could supply was my name and the address of the property. They had to physically go through old paperwork (from the old society) but they found it and I was paid a decent lump (with no 30% taken of) 6 months after I had been paid out, I received another cheque for £122.30 and a letter explaining that I had left £14 in an account and it had accrued interest. :) MY advice - do your own digging before letting the leeches have a go. They have no more resources than you do.

Hi Bazz, Welcome back. Recently a lot of the "old timers" have been showing up. It is kind of like people retiring and returning to their old home town. Jamer has been upgrading the site and it is really coming along well. Don't go disappearing again for an extended period.
